CPAU accepts abstracts, articles and papers in English and Arabic. Abstract, Article, full paper and oral presentation should be in the same language.

The most best scientific 10 papers  will be selected to publish in a special issue of the journal of urban research (JUR)

Manuscript Requirements and Style

  •  Manuscript Format

 Paper size is A4, portrait orientation layout, with top and bottom margins at 2.54 cm, left and right margins at 3.18 cm.

  • Manuscript Length

Manuscripts are typically between 4000 and 7000 words, around 20 pages, including manuscript text, tables, figures, and references.  In the case of exceeding 18 pages, extra fees will be charged per page.

  •  Text Format   

 Manuscript in Arabic language

 -  Use “Arial” 12 pt. for manuscript text and Arial 12 pt. Bold for titles 

 -  Use “Arial “11 pt. for abstract, keywords, and figures and tables titles

 Manuscript in English language

 -  Use “Times New Roman” 12 pt. for manuscript text and “Times New Roman” 12 pt. Bold for titles

 -  Use “Time New Roman” 11 pt. for abstract, keywords, and figures and tables titles

 -  Main title to be in “UPPERCASE” e.g. (1. URBAN PLANNING)

 -  For Secondary titles “Capitalize Each Word” e.g. (1.1 Planning Policies)

 -  Sub-titles are to be entered in “Sentence case” e.g. (1.1.1 City and crime)

General Text Format Notes

 -   Titles are to be numbered except for “Introduction” and “References”

 -   Use single lines spacing

-   No colored text is allowed

 -  Do not underline words or sentences; emphasize by using bold font

 -  All pages are to be numbered

 -  A line space is to be provided between separate sections and subsections

3- Manuscript Structure: Manuscripts should be prepared according to the following structure

  •  Title Page: contains “Title; author name(s), affiliation(s)”. Title Page should be uploaded as a separate file 
  •  Manuscript Document: Title; Abstract; Keywords; Introduction; Main Text (Techniques and methods /Results and conclusions/ Discussion); Acknowledgements; Endnotes, References.
